At the conclusion of this session, you will be abe to:

Non digital aesthetics - wax up and inject

Presented by Professor Ian Meyers

Injection moulding techniques (IMT) utilising translucent silicone templates and high strength injectable composite resins have enabled IMT to become an essential part of everyday restorative practice for all clinicians. This presentation will demonstrate and evaluate the use of IMT for simple and complex restorative situations and assess the outcomes through a range of clinical cases.  Clinical tips and tricks on how to achieve improved aesthetic and functional success will be presented and discussed.

At the conclusion of this session, participants will:

  • appreciate the benefits of IMT for the reconstruction of anatomical form and function for simple and complex cases
  • understand appropriate case selection and preparation for restoration
  • recognise the benefits and limitations of a range of contemporary direct restorative materials.
