Dr Aovana Timmerman
Dr Aovana Timmerman completed her dental degree at the University of Melbourne in 2001 and fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS) in 2010, before obtaining the Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry in Endodontics in 2016.
After completing her Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Melbourne in 2001, Aovana completed a RACDS fellowship in 2010 and a Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry in Endodontics in 2016. Passionate about endodontic education, she has taught at the University of Melbourne since 2011 as a clinical demonstrator, serves on the RACDS Board of Studies, examines dentists for RACDS and the Australian Dental Council, and has published in local and international journals.
Dr Varun Garg
Dr Varun Garg is a registered Specialist Prosthodontist. Director/founder of Australian Prosthodontic Group (Cranbourne), Prosthodontic Group (Melbourne, CBD) and the principal specialist at Tullamarine Prosthodontics (Tullamarine). He enjoys all aspects of Prosthodontics but has a keen interest in aesthetics, reconstructive and implant dentistry. His research paper “Effect of Aging on the Load to Failure of Molar Implant-Supported Monolithic Zirconia Crowns: A Laboratory Study” was published in The International Journal of Prosthodontics in 2022. Over the years Dr Garg has developed his profound reputation in the prosthodontic world for his exceptional eye for aesthetics details, problem solving and compassionate approach.
He is actively involved in CPD/CE teaching and is the founder of Peak Exceptional Dentistry (www.peakedaustralia.com.au ) through which he conducts regular hands-on programs for dentists. Dr Garg is the current treasurer for the Australian Prosthodontic Society Victoria Branch and is also a core faculty member of The Australian College of Dental Practitioners (Postgraduate Diploma – Oral Implants).
Outside work Dr Garg is a proud father of two young boys, a self-proclaimed pitmaster and a keen traveller.
