This CPD lecture will review implant planning - the benefits and shortcomings of guided surgery used for implant placement in dental rehabilitation.

Dr Hanlie Engelbrecht
Dr Engelbrecht is a South African trained specialist oral surgeon. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Pretoria and her post-graduate training at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg.
Dr Engelbrecht completed a fellowship in craniofacial cleft surgery at the Pretoria Craniofacial Cleft Clinic, the largest clinic of its kind in Africa.
She relocated to Melbourne in 2013 and is currently employed at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, a private practice in Hawthorn and Wheelers Hill, the Royal Dental Hospital Melbourne and the University of Melbourne. Dr Engelbrecht holds specialist registration in Australia as an oral surgeon and since 2016, has been a passionate team member at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Dental Oncology.
