Concerns, Identification, Diagnosis, and the Management of Early Malocclusions
The developing malocclusion presents a quandary of factors to be understood, considered, guided, and managed.
The most photographed generation is currently growing before our lenses. Interrogation of childhood development is occurring more now than ever, with figuratively infinite reels of photos being checked back and forth constantly. In combination with the modern-day advent of unlimited access to information – good, bad, and ill-conceived – currently the pressure to understand the development and management of early malocclusions is growing endlessly. We should all be confident and comfortable sorting the wheat from the chaff.
You will learn:
• Increase understanding of timing and theory of normal jaw development and occlusion.
• Identify early signs of atypical development of the jaws and occlusion.
• Gain understanding of concepts and timing of orthodontic interception for atypical early development.
