Clin. A/Prof Mehdi Valizadeh – Periodontist
Clin. A/Prof Mehdi Valizadeh is the founder and clinical director of Vision Periodontics (2022) - a specialist centre for advanced periodontics and implant dentistry located at South Perth, WA. He is an overseas trained, board-certified, and Australian-registered specialist periodontist.
Over the years, Clin. A/Prof Valizadeh has developed special interests in advanced implant surgeries, bone grafting procedures, periodontal and periimplant mucogingival surgeries, as well as periodontal regenerative procedures. He has presented his clinical/research work both nationally and internationally and published four books in the field of dentistry as co-author (in Farsi) before his permanent move to Australia. Clin. A/Prof Valizadeh's academic background has always led him to take up teaching roles in academic institutions alongside his clinical work. Formerly an assistant professor overseas, he has been a clinical supervisor exclusively for the Doctor of Clinical Dentistry course in periodontics at the University of Western Australia (UWA) since 2017. Currently, he is a clinical associate professor at UWA and actively involved in research projects in the field of clinical implant dentistry. A/Prof Valizadeh is an active member/fellow of multiple societies and is the current president of the Australian Society of Periodontology – WA branch.
