Inner Melbourne Group Meeting - "Are we ready to surf on the wave of Peri-implant Disease?"

Network with colleagues while taking in some CPD over dinner and drinks.

The number of implants placed is increasing and the complexity of prostheses these support is becoming more sophisticated. We design and perform these treatments.
The peri-implant disease has a prevalence of approximated 20% at patient level and 15% at implant level.
Peri-implant disease is faster progressing and less resilient than periodontal disease.
The disease is coming like a wave, and we need to be informed about its aetiology, diagnosis, management and treatment protocols.

At conclusion, participants will be able to understand the aetiology of and diagnose periimplant diseases, plan treatments to mitigate the risks of developing periimplant disease, and be able to apply treatment protocols to those cases where periimplant disease has occured.

Presented by Dr Gabriel Rodriguez-Ortiz
