Dr Hossam El-Haddad
Hossam graduated from Ain Shams University (Cairo, Egypt) in 2006, and worked in both public and private sectors before relocating to Australia in 2010. Hossam obtained the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in 2015, and graduated with a Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics from The University of Melbourne in 2018. He has now joined a specialist practices in Essendon and Launceston, Tasmania.
Dr Luan Ngo
Graduating with honours from the University of Melbourne in 1999, Dr Ngo worked in both public and private practice until 2003, when he commenced a PhD in the field of periodontics looking at biomarkers for periodontal disease. He completed the didactic component of his specialist training in periodontics in 2009. Since then, Dr Ngo has been working in both private practice and as an academic at the University of Melbourne.
Dr Ngo has travelled to Vietnam with the Rotary Australia-Vietnam Dental Health Project. He volunteered his time in both the education of periodontists (in training) at the National Hospital of Odontostomatology in Ho Chi Minh City, as well as providing needed dental care for rural school children in the south of Vietnam.
Dr Ngo is currently the lecturer in periodontics and convenor of the undergraduate (now graduate entry) periodontics program at the Melbourne Dental School. He is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in the specialist field of periodontics.
Dr Gordon Burt
Dr Gordon Burt graduated from The London Hospital Medical College. He has an MSc. from the Institute of Dental Surgery, University of London, in prosthetic dentistry and an MS in prosthodontics from the University of Minnesota. Dr Burt is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He is in private prosthodontic practice in Melbourne and a demonstrator for the DCD programme in prosthodontics at Melbourne Dental School. Dr Burt provides treatment for patients with acquired maxillofacial defects at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and is an examiner for the RCS Edinburgh Diploma in Implant Dentistry.
Dr Phil Yeung
Dr Phil Yeung graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1988. In 1993 he returned to the University of Melbourne and completed a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry. In 1999 he received a combined Master of Science and Certificate in Prosthodontics from the University of Iowa (USA). He is presently working as a Prosthodontist in Collins Street, Melbourne and has previously been involved as a clinical demonstrator for the Graduate Diploma of Implant Dentistry course at the University of Melbourne.
He has lectured extensively throughout the main States in Australia and New Zealand on a range of Prosthodontic, Restorative and Implant dentistry topics. He has also run several continuing dental education courses on topics such as Digital Photography in Dentistry and Advanced Implant Restorative Techniques.

Dr Kurien Mamootil
Dr Kurien Mamootil completed his undergraduate training in Dentistry in 1994 and his specialist training in Endodontics from the University of Melbourne in 2004. He has also completed his Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.
Kurien has served as a clinical demonstrator and Examiner in the Specialist endodontic training program at the University of Melbourne, a clinical demonstrator at La Trobe University and as an examiner in Endodontics for the Australian Dental Council. He has been actively involved with the Australian Society of Endodontology serving as President of both the Victorian branch and the Federal branch.
Kurien is the principal endodontist at Geelong Endodontic Specialists. He is actively involved in continuing education in Endodontics and has presented domestically and internationally.
Dr Yana Itskovich
Dr Yana Itskovich graduated from dental school in 2008 and has been a qualified dental practitioner for the past 13 years. She completed her postgraduate speciality degree in Orthodontics in 2016. Yana is currently Lecturer in Orthodontics and Convener for Orthodontics for the Doctor of Dental Surgery program at the University of Melbourne. She is a member and fellow of the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons. When she’s not working, she enjoys being a mum and spending time with family and friends. Yana’s philosophy is to listen, provide honest advice and individual treatment options to her patients.
