When managing a patient's medication, there are a number of things you need to consider, such as patient history, finding the appropriate medication for your purpose and side effects. Uncover the methods to get it right!
You will learn how to:
- Take a medication history to identify drugs with dental implications
- Manage medications to mitigate risk of intra- and post-operative complications
- Manage claims of antibiotic and analgesic allergy
- Find authoritative information on dental side effects of drugs.

Associate Professor Geraldine Moses
Geraldine Moses is a doctor of clinical pharmacy, specialising in drug information, who has worked in medicines information for almost 30 years. She works part-time at the Mater Hospital South Brisbane in the Medicines Information Service and Academic Practice Unit, and holds an Adjunct Associate Professorship in the School of Pharmacy at the University of Queensland. Since 2013, she has been appointed as Consultant Pharmacist to the Australian Dental Association, providing a national drug information service called Pharma-Advice to members nationwide and writing a monthly column for the ADA News Bulletin.
