Nitrous Oxide and Oral Sedation (July 3)
Many patients experience significant anxiety when it comes to dental treatment, leading some to delay or avoid care altogether. As a dentist, having the right tools and techniques to manage this anxiety is essential for providing a comfortable, stress-free experience for your patients.
This course is designed to equip dental professionals with a variety of effective anxiety relieving techniques, allowing you to offer alternatives that help patients relax and receive necessary treatment. This hands-on course covers a range of sedation methods including psychosedation, oral sedation, and nitrous oxide-oxygen sedation.
At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:
- identify the key causes of fear and anxiety in patients and learn effective management strategies
- apply psychosedation techniques to ease patient anxiety
- understand the use of pulse oximetry and defibrillation
- implement oral sedation and nitrous oxide techniques into their practice whilst understanding the relevant pharmacodynamics, advantages, and risks of these techniques
