A/Prof Jaafar Abdou
A/Prof Jaafar Abduo received his BDS (Otago, New Zealand), DClinDent (Otago, New Zealand), MRACDS (Pros). His current position is as Senior Lecturer in Prosthodontics and Convener of the Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Implants) and Convener of Removable Prosthodontics at the Melbourne Dental school. His research interests are in the areas of CAD/CAM dentistry, removable prosthodontics, implant biomechanics and dental occlusion. Jaafar's teaching interests are in the areas of fixed and removable prosthodontics, oral implantology and evidence-based prosthodontics.
Dr Gaurika Sud
Dr Gaurika Sud is a registered specialist prosthodontist. She received her Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics (DCD) from the University of Melbourne. Prior to specialisation, she worked as a general dentist in private practices in regional Victoria and in New Zealand. Gaurika has been involved in teaching as a clinical supervisor at the Melbourne Dental School since 2012. A regular continuing professional development program lecturer, she is also an examiner for the Australian Dental Council and President of her local ADA group. She is a committee member of the Australian Osseointegration Society Victorian Branch and a member of Australian Prosthodontic Society. Gaurika enjoys all aspects of prosthodontics with particular interest in use of digital technology for aesthetic dental treatments. She specialises in treatment of patients with complex dental problems using crowns, bridges, implant supported prostheses and removable dentures.
Dr Vahed Parzham
Dr Vahed Parzham obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Shahid Beheshti, Tehran, 2007 and practiced as a general dentist in a private practice for three years before coming to Australia. He obtained his Australian Dental Council certificate in 2010 and has been working as a general dentist in both public and private sectors in Victoria. Dr Vahed Parzham is currently finalising he thesis towards his with the Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry postgraduate having completed his coursework in prosthodontics postgraduate training in at the University of Melbourne. He works as a Practitioner Restricted to Prosthodontics, and is actively involved in teaching undergraduate dental students in the subjects related to implant dentistry and prosthodontics.
Dr Hadeel Ibrahim
Dr Hadeel Ibrahim completed her Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics from the University of Otago, New Zealand in 2014. She taught removable and prosthodontics for six years at the University of Otago. Hadeel has a special interest in full mouth rehabilitation using removable and fixed prosthodontics. She is currently involved in clinical teaching for removable and fixed prosthodontics for dental students at the University of Melbourne. She also works in Private practice in Brighton and Ferntree Gully.
