Shining a light on root canal treatment - an intensive workshop

Enhancing root canal treatment by using the dental operating microscope helps provide optimal patient care. Improved visibility and lighting maximises the clinician’s ability to assess and manage the root canal system.

Modern root canal treatment is dependent on visualising anatomy and pathosis within the access cavity and root canal system. This programme will focus on integrating the dental operating microscope into root canal treatment.

At the end of this hands-on course participants will be:

  • aware of the advantages of using the dental operating microscope during root canal treatment
  • able to set up the dental operating microscope including focus the microscope
  • aware of the different levels of magnification used during root canal treatment
  • able to implement the safe use of a dental operating microscope during root canal treatment.
