Associate Professor Phillippe Zimet 

Associate Professor Phillippe Zimet is the immediate past lead in endodontics at the La Trobe University School of Dentistry and Oral Health. A/Prof Zimet is currently the adjunct professor in the Department of Rural Health at Latrobe University.  

A/Prof Zimet edited the systematic operating procedures manual for infection control and occupational health and safety for the Australian Dental Association Victorian Branch (ADAVB). 

A/Prof Zimet is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, The Academy of Dentistry International and The International College of Dentists. He has published, and lectured nationally and internationally in many aspects of endodontics. 

A/Prof Zimet is a past president of the Australian Society of Endodontology Inc., as well as the Asian Pacific Endodontic Confederation. In 2004, he was awarded the ADAVB Dentistry Achievement Award for services to the dental profession.

In 2014, A/Prof Zimet  was accepted as an Honorary Life Member of the Australian Society of Endodontology (VB).  In 2016, he was inaugurated as a foundation member International Association for Dental Traumatology.

Past clinical appointments include consultant endodontist at Monash Medical Centre and senior fellow at the University of Melbourne.

 

Dr Daniel Felman 

BDSc(Hons) Melb, DCD Melb, FRACDS

Following his dental training at the University of Melbourne, and private dental practice for several years, Dr Daniel Felman discovered a passion for endodontics.

He undertook his specialty training completing a clinical doctorate in endodontics (DCD) at the University of Melbourne.

As a registered specialist endodontist, Dr Felman achieved fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS).

He is also a Member of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Endodontists (ANZAE), the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), the Australian Dental Association (ADA) and the International Association of Dental Traumatology (IADT) and currently serves on the committee of the Australian Society of Endodontology (Vic).

In addition to his full-time private practice commitments in Bentleigh East and Brighton, Dr Felman is the endodontic specialist consultant at Monash Medical Centre.

Dr Felman lectures widely both locally and nationally and is involved in teaching endodontics as a clinical demonstrator and lecturer at the University of Melbourne and La Trobe University.

He maintains a special interest in the management of complex traumatic dental injuries.

 

Dr Averil Tse 

Dr Averil Tse undertook her undergraduate dental training at the University of Otago, New Zealand, graduating with distinction in 2001.

She completed her postgraduate endodontic training at the University of Melbourne in 2009.

Averil works in specialist private practice at Endodontic Associates in the Melbourne CBD and is involved in teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate dental students at the University of Melbourne and La Trobe University in Bendigo.

Averil has lectured on a wide range of topics, including management of cracked teeth, perforations, and dental trauma.

She has a special interest in the management of traumatic dental injuries and cracked teeth. Averil currently serves on the Australian Society of Endodontology (Victoria Branch) committee and is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Endodontists (ANZAE).
