One Gold Crown: HOW MANY WAYS?
Indirect gold restorations fabricated via a lost wax technique have been a predictable and durable restorative choice in prosthodontic practice for almost 100 years. However, recent advancements in digital dentistry including intra-oral scanning, milling and 3D printing are forcing clinicians and technicians to reconsider their workflows. This lecture will outline the key parameters to consider when selecting either an analogue or digital workflow and will highlight the challenges associated with fabricating a single gold crown in 2024.
