Temporomandibular Joint Disorders plus a free networking event
An overview of temporomandibular joint disorders starting with the essentials.
Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders involve dysfunction of the jaw joint and surrounding muscles, causing pain, clicking, and restricted movement. These conditions can impact oral function and overall patient comfort. Early detection, accurate diagnosis, and a multidisciplinary approach are crucial for effective management and optimal treatment outcomes in dental practice.
At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:
• Recognise the symptoms and signs of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders in patients.
• Identify the underlying causes and risk factors associated with TMJ dysfunction.
• Diagnose various TMJ disorders using clinical examination and diagnostic tools.
• Increase confidence in using non-invasive therapies to treat TMJ disorders.
