Oral Health promotion at the PBC Expo, February 2025
The ADAVB Oral Health Committee hosted a stand at the February 2025 Pregnancy, Babies & Children’s Expo in Melbourne on 22 and 23 February. The PBC Expo serves as a strategic platform for the ADAVB to connect with the Victorian community at a time when individuals and families are particularly vulnerable to oral and dental diseases, during pregnancy and early childhood.
At the stand, our volunteers offered free oral health guidance and answered a wide range of questions from visitors, parents and expecting parents. There was significant interest in topics such as the ideal age for children to begin visiting the dentist, the best types of toothpaste and toothbrushes to use, and the proper ways to maintain oral health from an early age.
This year, Colgate has collaborated with the ADA to offer an incredible range of merchandise for the PBC Expos. We had a selection of kids' and adult toothbrushes and toothpastes, which proved to be very popular.
A variety of ADAVB-branded items were also on offer, including the ‘Oral Health Milestone’ magnet. The book ‘Who is the Tooth Fairy’s Best Friend?’ by Cathryn Carboon also received a great response. In addition to the merchandise, we provided ADA-branded fact sheets and other helpful resources for parents to take home.
