The new Stand-Alone Community Health (General Dentists’) Enterprise Agreement has been successfully voted up by employee dentists

We are pleased to announce that the results of the ballot are in, and that the proposed Victorian Stand-Alone Community Health (General Dentists’) Enterprise Agreement 2024-2028 was successfully voted up by more than 50% of employees covered by the proposed agreement at every workplace (as listed below*).

So, what happens next? The VHIA (who represent the employers) will lodge all the associated documentation (e.g., Declaration of Results) with the Fair Work Commission who will provide the final stamp of approval.  This part of the process usually takes 4-6 weeks.

Seven days after the Fair Work Commission approves the agreement will be the commencement date. The important thing to understand is that you must be employed at one of the organisations covered by the agreement on the commencement date to receive the entitlements (including back-pay)
