Mental Health Month
Mental Health Month encourages us to think about our mental health and wellbeing, to understand the importance of good mental health in our everyday lives and to seek help from the many support services that are available.
National Mental Health Month 1 - 31 October
National Mental Health Month is an initiative of the Mental Health Foundation Australia to advocate for and raise awareness and promote better mental health for all. Free counselling from our LifeWorks program
Members can access confidential counselling on personal or work issues provided by our LifeWorks member assistance program. LifeWorks can help you with relationship and family issues, anxiety and depression, grief and loss, alcohol and drug issues, managing conflict and handling work pressures. Phone-counselling is available 24/7 and you can also access an interactive website with helpful tools by using your member login to access the LifeWorks page.

Dental Practitioner Support
The Dental Practitioner Support is a free 24/7 confidential national telephone service providing health support to dental practitioners across Australia. The service was initiated by the Dental Board of Australia, and is administered by Turning Point, a leader in the delivery of telehealth services. Dental practitioners who call the telephone service can talk to experienced counsellors who can help with a wide range of health and wellbeing related issues that may be affecting their practice. The service also provides support to students, educators, employers and concerned family members.

Black Dog Institute
The Essential Network (TEN) is an e-health hub connecting healthcare professionals with critical mental health and wellbeing services including navigating the risk of burnout. Access one-on-one clinical care through TEN's clinic (up to five free clinical sessions with a psychologist or psychiatrist) complete online self-assessments and programs and download resources.

Free advice from our community relations officers and professional consultants
Receive advice from our professional consultants for non-insurance matters, and if you are insured with Guild Insurance, you can receive support and advice from our community relations officers (CRO) for insurance-related matters.
