Dental Health Week Live Q&A session
This year’s Dental Health Week message is Keep your Smile for Life.
To promote the important message that good oral health starts from birth, the ADAVB is hosting a Facebook live session on our Caring for Your Kids’ Teeth page. Join us for this live event hosted by Dr James Fernando, dentist and Dr Mihiri Silva, paediatric dentist, on Monday 2 August 2021, 7:00pm.
Our experienced hosts will answer questions about children’s oral health and talk about changes to oral hygiene routines as children grow, including how to brush properly and dietary tips for good oral health.
James is a general dentist, researcher at the Melbourne Dental School and Chair of the ADAVB Oral Health Committee. He is particularly passionate about preventing tooth decay and has published research articles on this topic.
Mihiri is a specialist paediatric dentist and researcher, working at the Royal Children’s Hospital and the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, as well as the University of Melbourne. Mihiri enjoys working with families and supporting parents to improve children’s dental habits and oral health.
Submit your questions before the session by commenting on the Facebook post or on the night. Those who join and comment or ask a question on the night will be in the running to win a prize hamper with Colgate and Piksters oral hygiene products and more.
